Our mission is to use AI to help students learn, support teachers in their work and create more opportunities through education.

Our vision is an India where every student can get the support they need and every teacher can use AI to help their students learn. Where you live, the language you speak or the resources available to you should not limit that opportunity.

AI gives us a new opportunity to work towards that goal. At Agarwals, we want to turn its possibilities into help that students and teachers can understand, use and rely on.

Help when you need it

Sometimes, one more explanation makes an idea clear. Sometimes, you need to ask a question, try again or return to something you missed. Having someone pay attention at that moment can make a difficult subject feel manageable.

Good teachers do this every day. We believe AI can extend that personal attention beyond the classroom, including when you are studying on your own. It could offer patient explanations and guidance that takes account of what you understand and where you are struggling.

We want this support to give you room to learn without feeling embarrassed or left behind—and help you grow more confident in your own thinking.

We also want AI to support teachers: helping them prepare learning materials, understand where students need help and give each student more personal attention. The aim is to support their judgement and give them more room to teach.

A company built to benefit students and teachers

We’re building Agarwals as a public benefit company. The benefit to students and teachers should guide what we build, what we charge and how we grow.

That means asking questions that matter beyond the business: Is the help useful? Can students afford it? Are we reaching those who have had less access to support?

Our research will help us examine what works and where we need to improve. We want to build a company that can keep doing this work for many years, using its success to improve what it offers and bring it to more students.

Why we are starting with competitive exams

For many students in India, a competitive exam is a step towards college, further study or a job. Behind that goal are months of preparation, hopes for the future and daily decisions about where to put their effort.

This gives us a meaningful place to begin. Practice can reveal where a student needs help. A clear explanation can help them understand a mistake. Their next attempt can show whether that understanding is growing.

Our first product, Gajan, brings these parts together. It helps students practise, understand their answers and decide what to work on next.

We are starting with a need that matters deeply to many students. What we learn here will guide our work in other areas of learning.
